History:
The
Herald Group opened the doors in 1893. The Herald Company started
out as a printing firm in Dillon South Carolina. Printing many of
the Local Newspapers including the Dillon Herald, the Herald name
stuck and remains today. Herald Office Systems division started
selling office supplies in 1924. The company introduced furniture
to the product mix in 1948.
Today
Herald has eight locations including the new Whiteville, NC location
that opened in December of 2006. The other locations are in Dillon,
Cheraw, Columbia, Sumter, Florence, Charleston, and Myrtle Beach.
We provide a wide area of standard delivery areas as well as nationwide
via drop ship.
The
South Carolina Chamber of Commerce recently recognized Herald as
one of the top 100 businesses in SC in 2002. We are the only office
products company that made the list. In addition, Herald is a Veteran
owned business.

Furniture:
Herald
is one of the largest furniture dealers in the southeast, representing,
Hon, Allsteel and many others. We have on staff, space design planners
that can provide you with all you will need including cad drawings
for all of your design needs and requirements.
Delivery:
Herald
Office Systems provides free delivery on all products sold excluding
a limited number of state contract furniture items. In our standard
areas the deliveries are made by our trucks and drivers. Outside
our normal delivery area, the items are shipped at no charge excluding
furniture. Furniture items are almost always delivered by our trucks
in South Carolina.
Outside
most large furniture items, all products ordered by 5 PM today are
delivered to the customer’s door the next day. These services
are based on a Monday through Friday schedule with holidays.
Web Based Services:
Herald Office Systems has a full-featured internet ordering program
at www.hosnet.net. Our customers
use the site for placing orders, reviewing past orders, and searching
